Hmmm... Wonder what's going on in Atlantic City? Anybody have any news? This is the 1st time I have posted, but I read the reviews faithfully! Thanks to all of you who make those of us who aren't able to attend feel like we are a part of all of these wonderful shows. Melissa is real, unlike so many other artists. She always gives her music everything she's got, and that is why I sit here waiting for some news about tonight's show. She's always worth the wait, so I'll just bide my time and hope to hear something before too long!

I just checked the tour site and I see that tonight's show doesn't start until 9. I guess I'm a little anxious. I just sort of got used to hearing about the set list during sound check, and it spoiled me. I'll just go and find something to occupy my time and I'll check back in a couple of hours! I feel sort of goofy for getting so overwrought. I hope some of y'all know the feeling and maybe won't think I'm a complete nutcase!

this time, thanks to Linda (HugsY2K), i heard the following from Atlantic City:

Meet Me in the Dark
I Run for Life
I Want to Come Over
I'm the Only One

i had to hang up during Bring Me Some Water because our call quality was getting a little too freaky.

Linda said MLE did Your Little Secret just before Meet Me in the Dark.

I have tried to be really patient and am just now checking the board! Thanks a lot for the info. Rhonnda. Chuckie's in Love-- who would have thought? Hope somebody got it on video. I love all of Melissa's music, but I swear I've really enjoyed the cover songs! I think everybody is having fun trying to guess what the cover for the night will be. I'm really interested to see what she pulls out in Ok. Do y'all think that Reba (since she's a Oklahoma girl) would just be way too country and totally out of line for Melissa? I so wish I could go to one of the Ok. shows, but it's way too far. Hopefully, she'll come a little closer to where I live next summer. If not, I'm going to see her anyway! Thanks again for letting us know what you knew, Rhonnda! I'm trying to put the clapping smilie here, but it's not working. How do you use those things? All I can get are words. For instance, when I choose the clapping smilie, all that shows in my post is the word "clap." How weird is that? Well--since I know tonight's cover and at least some about the set list, I can go to bed now. Here's hoping for videos tomorrow!

Quick concert check-in. We are on the road all day tomorrow (in a hurricane apparently) to Hyannis, MA, so will not have any uploads. The House of Blues was sold out and Melissa did a fabulous show, as always. More tomorrow.

Sorry no setlist BUT Melissa is apparently a big Football fan

Great show (as usual) but much higher energy from the crowd tonight than Red Bank, the House of Blues was Rockin'!

Have fun in Hyannis, wish we were going.......

It’s interesting how we all interpret things differently. I thought that the audience at the Red Bank Show was more energetic. Perhaps because I was by the stage this time [no complaint there], I didn’t get a chance to see the whole venue and their reaction from the distance. But that is irreverent. The bottom line is: the show was phenomenal! As always. The audience was having great fun and Melissa looked very happy.

One funny moment from the concert … during the performance of Chrome Plated Heart, the roof was leaking right next to Melissa. The audience was trying to warn her, but she was so much into the song that she could not hear us. After she found out what happened, Melissa said, I was wondering why the floor was slippery. Good thing I am not wearing cowboy boots, she added.

It was great to see Melissa again. Melissa is indisputably multitalented. She connects with the audience so easily and is very appreciative. It was wonderful evening, truly.

Peace,

Hi All,
Well I was disappointed in the whole Atlatic City experience. First the room was not what I oredered. The food for 55.00 bucks was horrible. Then the show.....I have been a member of the fan club since the very beginning. Faithfully spending the money every year...even in years she has not toured. We are told that we get priority seating based on seniority. I end up in row K....11th row. I have never had anything passed row 4 and now I am in row 11??????????????
I started talking with other people in my row who informed me that you had an option to spend more and get the first 10 rows or spend less and be in rows 11-20. First off I never saw this option when I bought my tickets online. Secondly now what has happened to my senority seating? I have to pay more for that also? 20 years of being a fan and being a member of the fanclub and now I am sitting with others who pay more buying through Ticketmaster. Needless to say I was not happy. Maybe it was my fault if it was posted about the options and I did not see it. But those options should not be there....Senority seating is promised

OK so everyone rushed the stage and I got up to a decent area. Decent as far as a small view with all the drunks. A guy who fell into me because he was so drunk. Another guy standing directly behind me screaming....Yeah Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! through each song. A woman flinging herself backwards..shaking her hair all over and smacking me with her purse.....it was a real good time.
It finally got so bad and we could not enjoy Melissa because of all the drunks. We finally went to the back of the House of Blues....got a soda and left. I CAN'T BELIEVE I LEFT A MELISSA CONCERT. Never in a million years would I imagine leaving a Melissa concert but thats how bad the whole experience was.
Never again will I spend money to go see Melissa at a casino setting or at a venue that is primarily a bar. 20 years ago when I was only spending 20.00 to see her in a bar I was still in my late 20,s. Now nearing 50 it just ain't worth it to me with the price of tickets.
The only good note of the evening was I am the proud owner of the cardboard Melissa promo poster that was outside the venue.
Someone was asking about video of Chuckies in Love....I did get it on video and I will post it if the quality is worth it.
Sorry for the rant but I was just very disappointed.....never have I left one of her shows feeling so empty.

I see the Tour page has both price points listed. It appears you purchased the less expensive option:

M.E.I.N. Sales Closed
PL1: Floor, Rows C-I and
Balcony Sect 201-301,
Rows E & F ($231/pair)
PL2: Floor, Rows K-M ($197/pair)

It looks like seniority is in order if you were in the first row, row K, of the lower price tier. Sorry you did not have a good experience. I'm not a fan of casinos myself.

The one thing I can say is that even when the audience is rude or dead, Melissa, and her band when they are with her, always give a top-notch performance. Keep that in mind for next year. ;)

much more to say ;)

but for now.....I have to agree the amount of drunks at this show seemed to be a lot more than others I attended :thumbs down:

I had no encounters with them, but did observe what was described above.

I did enjoy the show as nothing beats going to a MLE concert with your gf on your arm. which to me is just ALL MAGICAL (see now you know where my screen name comes from ;) )

and my snapple angels saved the day too....(private joke ;) )

it rained the morning we drove down, but did get to spend the afternoon on the beach, but the next two days nothing but the tail end of hurricane eddie which did not let us get to enjoy all of AC....but finding indoor activities was quite easy to do .... ;)

I am so sorry that you had such a terrible experience, Kupid. I have never seen Melissa in a casino ( or any place else for that matter!), but I have read enough about the "casino experience" on this forum that, when I do get to see her, it will not be in a casino-- or a bar for that matter. In fact, there is a post on here somewhere that tries to get those who have had bad casino experiences to let Melissa know ( hoping that she will be persuaded to not play casinos anymore). Apparently, it is quite the issue. I think Melissa would definitely want to know how her fans feel, but I'm just not sure she can do much about it. I mean, is it practical to think that she can just stop performing in casinos? I'm asking because I really don't know. Like I said, I've never even been to a show, so I certainly don't know enough to even have an opinion. I do know that it is a problem for more than just you, and I sincerely hate that some of you have had bad things happen when you were planning on a great time, seeing and hearing Melissa ( not to mention the money you spent for tickets!). I am almost to say how happy I am that you got the video of "Chuckie's in Love!" Can't wait to see it!

Leave it to a teacher to leave a word out of a sentence. Next to last line of above post should have the word ashamed entered between the words almost and to. That's what I get for not proofreading! And---I'm still trying to figure out how to use these darned smilies!

American Woman... I am wondering, when you signed up, did you see a place that said emoticons and either an on or off option... that is the only thing I can think of. Try that... because we should all be able to enjoy the fun of using smilies... :clapping: :group hug:  :wheee!:

This was by far one of the worst experiences we've had as well. First of all, had we actually sat in our seats that we got through the fan club, our P1 seats, we would have been in Row I, far left stage, not center, nothing. We ran up to the stage immediately and that's where we remained throuhghout the entire concert. Most people would give their right arm to be that close, but there were SO MANY drunks, that they ruined it for all of us! We had 3 women that were disgustingly drunk... one was grabbing my face, falling over, constantly banging into us, the one chick we finally got to sit, ended up resting her head on the side of my breast, the others were threatening to beat the F**K out of us. Did I point out, that we were right in front of Melissa, right in front of her! It was horrible! Security finally stepped in. It was a total disgrace. Melissa is all about peace and love, not fighting and acting a drunken fool. We NEVER miss her when she comes to town, but this experience has really turned us off. Melissa was awesome as usual, it's just ashame that we had to endure the rest. It was heartbreaking for us. :bawling: We barely watched the show, because we were so busy keeping these idiots off of us. And to boot, at the very end, Melissa was leaning as far over as possible to hand me her pick, she turned to look down to the far end of the stage, and one of the drunks friends, grabbed it and that was the end of our night! I didn't even get my pick! A rotten ending to a rotten night! Hopefully, the next tour will be better for all of us!

Kristen - I agree with you that this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Melissa concert (and I've been to many). Just want to clarify that the girl who got the pick at the end of the show was DEFINITELY not one of the drunk rowdy people but a good friend of mine who came in from California to see the show with me. The drunks who made the show miserable for everyone around them had left our area by the end of the show and my friend, who had nothing alcoholic to drink that night, came up to the stage about 20 minutes b4 the show ended. As I recall, my friend was standing in the 2nd row of people and Melissa reached over the 1st row of people and placed the pick in her hand, then gave my friend's hand a squeeze before pulling her own hand away. I'm sorry you didn't get a pick this time as it is a very special experience. I hope you do next time. :lucky: I doubt that I will ever return to that venue to see a concert again.

Um...I had a good time at this show. Yes, we saw the drunks..none of them really bothered me though. Melissa was really fun talking all about football and the rain coming into the building. She played Precious Pain, a song I had never heard live before. I wish I could just hand her my list of songs that I need to hear...LOL.

After the show we went up to the Foundation Room and had a couple of drinks. They were having a breast cancer benefit party, so we all donated some money and went in, danced, had a couple of drinks, and took some pictures. It was fun.

Kris and I then headed out to the casino floor. We played the slots for about an hour and then headed up to bed.

It was nice seeing everyone and we hope you all have a great time at your remaining shows.

It was a great end to Melissa season for us. Now we just have to wait until next year!

Be safe all!

Let me just say something real quick... we were not in the first row, I was right there with your friend. Trust me, when I tell you... She was giving me the pick. I had given her a painting when we met her and we're photographed with her... We had been standing there the entire night. When she leaned over to give me the pick, she turned her head and looked down the stage, so I'm thinking she thought I got it. No biggie! I hope she enjoys it. I never said you're friend was one of the drunks, just with them. Look, It was all in all a lousy night for me, so I'll just leave it at that. What's done is done. Those drunks made EVERYTHING HORRIBLE! I wish they had be removed long before they were. Let's hope that Melissa's people can change the venue next time around. I'm just sorry that a few people ruined everybody's night. I guess, that's all it takes. Peace.

I'm sorry that so many had a not so great time at this show. I was in the 6th row and basically didn't move an inch from my end of aisle seat for other reasons :D and the only thing that bothered me and many other fans in our area was all the LOUD fans or people who sat at the bar. It sounded like they were either watching a sports event or just plain LOUD and during WIM you could really hear them as the crowd turned around many times to show their annoyance. Otherwise I thought the show was great and I believe it was BMSW that MLE did a kick ass version of that. Can't wait to hear that again. I hope that others got the cover song Chucks in Love and see no one has yet to post the set list. I can do that in a short while unless someone else can get to it. We can't leave that out even if some fans had a not so great time. Not sure who it was but I guess someone who spoke to me and it could be one of the posters here said something about almost getting a pick from MLE and someone else got it so we may have talked briefly but not sure....you can indicate that if you read this.

Great to meet so many fans and missed a few and sorry about that. Great meeting you Kathyb and Imagine_that. Rose and Sandy great to see you also, ML, and others I can't think of at the moment beside friends I already know such as Tracy, Kris, Linda, Jeanette, Marie and partner. Thanks again to Linda and Jeanette for your hospitality Thurs night and what you did for us on Friday. We had family with us and that made it all worthwhile.

Enjoyed MLE banter and how the fans looked out for her with the watering flowing down from the ceiling during Chrome Plated Heart. I think she was touched that so many fans wanted her to be safe but hey MLE fans are the best! Kick as CPH also!! I hope to see much videos on Youtube as I saw many doing video. If I find the links I shall post unless others do first. I kinda doubt her venue will change from the HOB doing it already a few times. Casino crowd I guess its not uncommon as you have people in there that may not be the major fans as those here. All in all it was enjoyable and we didn't let those loud ones near us spoil the show. Towards the end of the show it got quieter behind us and everyone was into it for the encore. I think crowd was more into it then Westbury and even Red Bank but thats just one fans opinion or maybe two :D

I was at the stage front row just a few feet away from Melissa's right. So I was next to kathyb. She and I along with others tried several times to stop the inebriated ladies from arguing and fighting. There was one person who kept picking fights with EVERYBODY around her. Kathyb and I along with several others were actually holding on to people (and getting hit or grabbed at) trying to keep them from fighting and/or falling down. Before that we kept asking them to please stop and try to be respectful of Melissa and everyone else who paid a lot of money to see an amazing performance. I was hoping that they would calm down. Initially I didn't want to get security involved because I thought that would create more chaos and interrupt Melissa's performance. But after a short while I turned to my left and asked the person next to me to pass on to the others to her left a request for security intervention. Security responded quickly and took one of the primary culprits away. Fortunately she didn't resist.

It's sad that so many people had a negative experience because of a select few who acted irresponsibly. This is the antithesis of what Melissa is about.

Still with all of the drama, I had a great time at the show and over the course of the two days. I did the travel package for the first time. Meeting Melissa and talking with her for a short time was amazing-a very powerful experience.

I did the travel experience alone. So I wasn't sure about connecting with other people in the group. Everyone was so friendly. Kathyb and her friends were so wonderful-inviting me initially to join in with them and then letting me invite myself back the next day. They really helped to make it an unforgettable experience for me. Marc (M.E.I.N.) was awesome.

Also, it was great to finally meet up with nybabe58 and well as seeing Itsallmagical again.

So now I'm hooked on the travel packages! Melissa said she is definitely going on tour next summer to support her new CD. So I know I will see many of you again and again........

Hopefully, someone will post videos of the show soon.

I'm sorry to hear that some people did not have a great experience at this show. I know it's hard to enjoy a show when so much is happening around you. Having done the AC TP last year, I knew they would allow a stage rush at the very beginning, so I made my way up there just to Melissa's left, and got pushed quite a bit when trying to get my position but I held my ground. I've never been pushed that much at a show. It doesn't matter though, I had a great evening. We are so lucky to hear so many different songs every night, love Ruins.

Tracy, Kris and Linda...nice hanging with you guys during and after the show. We should have stayed a little longer at the Foundation room, really like that place.

I got a really good video from a nice angle of Chuck E's in Love, but I don't know how to upload anywhere.

Here is the link to the pics I took at the AC show. Quite of few of you gave me your email so I could send the pics. This is much easier and everyone on the boards can see them too.
My partner and I had 3rd row center seats, but stood at the stage the entire time next to the drunken ones that security had to escort out.
Aside from the drunks, we had a fantastic time.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Another awesome concert! Yay to stage rush from the very start. :D

Sorry to hear about all the drunks. :twitchshocked: I was fortunate to be far away from them.

Always great seeing and spending time with the usual suspects. Fun times!!

I've seen Melissa a number of times and was very disappointed....not by her performance whatsoever but by the venue. The venue seemed understaffed to handle the number of people waiting in line but worse that that the volume of noise coming from behind me was overwhelming at times. Call me a snob but when I'm at a concert especially a Melissa concert, the performer has my full attention.

The seating was packed so tight I had to stand on my chair to allow people to pass by. I had previously attended a concert at the House of Blues and it was a very enjoyable experience which is probably why I am so disappointed in this one.

If there is a post on here to voice thoughts and opinions on the casino experience, please let me know where it is. I would like to leave a comment.

Yeah, you're right, that is some funny sh*t, the fact that you truly believe that she was giving you the pick, over me... HAHAHAHAHA! If that's what gets you through the day... I'm not going to lose sleep over it. You try and do the same.

Hello all,

This is my first entry to this site, so hello! i guess i am new to all of this, for it's only my 5th concert, 3rd and the HOB.. i agree with the intoxicated person(s) issue, they made it hard for alot of great people attempting to enjoy another ME concert. i know a few people that work at the HOB, and they are truely sorry for some of the bad experiances...They did male a good attempt at curbing thoes who were a little out of control....

I had really great seats, i had to get up for a few minutes and 2 people actually took my seats and at first refused to get up. I asked to see there tickets and after attempting to argue with me, they finally went back to the general admission area, leaving spilled beer all over.... I guess it is what it is....!

The concert was still great regardless of the distractions, the music, still rockin... :) wink!

It was nice to finally meet some of you folks from the fan club, as well as to see a few followers from my space...i hope to do it all again next summer. I have some good photos and video from the event, if i can figure it out, i will attempt to post them. i found a pic on the floor near the sound area. One of my friends said it was left behind by ME from a sound check...

Take care all, and be safe!

I can't believe you are arguing over who Melissa intended to give the pick to. Get over it.

I was at this show and it was my least favorite of the tour due to the attitudes of some of the idiots in the audience. We stuck it out though and Melissa was a class act, as always, even with idiots trying to touch her and yelling out inappropriate gestures. I was wondering for a minute if a Britney Spears audience had come into the wrong venue by accident.

Melissa, thank you for putting up with the idiots and still giving us a class-act performance. See you in OK.

Just wanted to give a shout to all the wonderful Melissa fans I saw at this concert.....imagine, magical & partner, nyb, kris, tracy, kat, angie & dawn. As always, Melissa rocked and I had a blast watching the show front row center stage (even with all the drama going on around me) and soo enjoyed meeting Melissa in person for the 2nd time backstage. Hopefully some of the characters that misbehaved that nite will read these posts and think twice next time about getting sooo out of control.

its been a few days since AC and after reading all the posts about the drunks...which as I stated before I witnessed but did not have any run ins with any of them(but there was one incident that did happen to me that i think the person had to be drunk), so in hindsight, my deciding before the concert NOT to rush the stage was the right thing to do....

i also have to say that it is true that if you put something out to the universe it can and does come true.... ;) ;)

yup that deserved two winks

i put out a special MLE request when I was at the AC show and just today I found out it came true....

We saw the Christmas show at the House of Blues last November and it was one of the best concerts I've seen anywhere ever!!!!!

on Friday we were row F seats 39 & 40 (almost aisle) and not too many drunks except the girl with the hat who all of a sudden became my best friend and told me her life story between songs. Thank goodness she left early.

First time seeing Melissa "solo" was in Red Bank then AC a few nights later.

Redbank people sat, AC people stood (I prefer to stand the whole time)

Red Bank people were dead silent during piano solos, you could hear a pin drop, it was wonderful.. AC people talked and laughed constantly during Weakness in Me and Meet Me in the Dark, it was embarassing.

Overall I'd give the edge to AC though, but the shows are what you make them, Shouldn't let anyone bully you out of having fun especially at a Melissa show.

Maybe she'll head back to Philly instead of AC next tour (please oh please)

Just a thought.....how much more enjoyable the 'inebriated' ones would have been had they smoked weed instead of drank??? I'm sure there would have been less shoving, punching and antagonism. :group hug:
