Angie (BSST) texted me the set list for tonight's show and asked me to post it.

i'm sure she'll have more to say since she was in the front row all night. :-)

The show was AMAZING last night!!! Melissa gave it everything she had and rocked. The energy was just great and the set list was awesome. I couldnt get any really good pictures because of the tall woman in front of me, so if anyone has pictures that I can get copies of please please please PM me. About a month to go until Columbus!!!!

kypride, could you post link of the Yahoo group you mentioned... BSST? Not sure what that means. I gave my wife tix to last night's show, which I heard was great. I would love to see some of the photos. Hopefully, MLE enjoyed the Louisville Palace venue, it's a beautiful concert hall and unique. Plant/Krauss commented on the venue, as do most performers. I feel lucky to have the Palace in my town! Melissa... come back soon!

Yes, Melissa was simply awesome last night. I live in Owensboro, so Louisville is right around the corner to me lol the Palace is an amazing theatre and Melissa commented on how gorgeous it was last night. She really enjoyed herself and put on one hell of a show as usual. When she did Must Be Crazy for me I almost flipped lol

Louisville was awesome!! Had 3rd row center in the pit! Met some awesome people there - ks, "J", Lauren and her friend and gf were there. Stood by a very nice man, didn't get his name.

Love that Melissa tells basically her life story from when she headed to California to now. She does a wonderful job of blending that in with the songs!! Had a wonderful time!!

Just 1 question?? Why do people insist on getting totally intoxicated BEFORE a Melissa show??

Just don't understand that one! :roll:

Louisville was awesome. Despite Melissa's cold it was a great show. I was a few seats down from Michelle W, good to see you again. I took my mom with me and it was her first show and she really enjoyed it. Really tired from the drive back but did want to say how much I enjoyed the show.

Michelle W yea on the drunk people and the lady who drove from Alabama and was so drunk and got kicked out....what a waste, why do people do that?

Yeah, I saw that lady get kicked out. There was also some kind of altercation with 2 women in front of us, apparently they had the wrong seats or something because some gentlemen brought security down with him and made them move to their proper seats.

I hope that Louisville wasn't the only show with intoxicated people, Michele! That is a distinction we would rather not have. But the booze and the vibe flows in that fashion with Stage Door Johnny's next door (connected to the Louisville Palace lobby). I have to say that I always find myself in a cocktail line whenever I go to the Palace. It's just a totally relaxing environment. But loud drunks are definitely not preferred in any venue. Hope they were few and far between. Thanks for your post-concert scoop.

The intoxicated people were few and far between, alot of us did have drinks, I limited myself to only two though. Who wants to get drunk and not remember what happened at a Melissa show?!?!? Certainly not me

OK, we're back!!! It was amazing beyond words, so give me a few days to find them, & to load ALL the pictures & video. I will link the review & picture, they will be on my MLE site.

Here are the autographs I got. The 1st is what was signed for me as part of the package, the 2nd came from hanging out w/ Mark before the show, having him take it backstage to get the rest of the boys sign it, & then catching MLE as she was walking to the bus:

Exactly!! I have no problem with a drink or two, but you can't even remember the concert or are screaming at the top of your lungs, who wants to listen to that!! No worries though!! I've been to many Melissa concerts that didn't have those annoying people!!

Great show... of course! :-)

I finally sat on Philip's side! It had been a while!!! :-)

The only thing is that some big sound piece of equipment was too close to the front of the stage, which did not allow for Melissa to come to our side... grrrrr.

ere is less flexibility (if any!) as far as requests go, this time around... it looks like she's strictly sticking to her nightly set list.

Oh, cute story... before the show, this security lady (Desiree) was walking around with a huge smile on her face, showing everybody her signed set list... so I took her picture! :-)

She was too cute for words, and that could very well be my favorite picture of the night!!!

Funny thing is, later on I tried taking a picture of what I thought was the set list on the stage, but it was wasn't... so I was like... grrrr... I want to see the set list! It wasn't until after the show that I realized it had been in my camera all along! LOL!

But it worked out better that way... 'Cause I got a couple of great surprises! Like when she started the show with one of my favoritestest songs... Ain't It Heavy... and when she did Must Be Crazy For Me... I SO love to dance to that song in concert! :o) AND they did that thing they do with everybody on the drums... which I think it's such a cool treat! :-)

Early on in the show, the new guitar tech (she said his name, and I'll be darned if I remember it!) jumped off the stage and put some headphones on a little baby that was at the concert with his mama on the 4th or 5th row... Melissa said something (I think) about how she thought for a moment it was her son... he did kinda resemble him... :-)

She had to have some hot tea and lemon (a few lemons actually), since she is still fighting a cold (which is to blame for her just doing "Not Tonight"... poor thing)...

Factoid: Mark appears to be playing barefoot on this tour.

This video has horrible sound (too close to the action!) but I thought I'd share it anyway... this was the only video 'cause Mr. Security said no videos and I didn't want to risk it, so I only took pics afterwards:

Mr. Security also had a problem with the whiteboard (I borrowed it from Frank to ask for AUK/3some - at which she shook her head no, BTW)... he said he didn't want me to do that 'cause it distracted her... I said she likes that... he said I still don't want you to do it. I said... OK....... :-)

He was serious about his job... I kept seeing him going places to get people in line... :-)

Found out the next day that there had been a flasher... she was escorted out during (I think) the second song... I just don´t get people... whew...

As usual, Philip was madness on that guitar! :-)

What Happens Tomorrow - "A black man can work hard...... and be the president..." YAY! :-)

Although I did not get Melissa's pick (too much competition! :-)

but I think she chose wisely - she owes me one though! ;-)

, Philip did come give me his pick at the end of the show (and one of hers too)... he´s too sweet! :-)

OH!!! Shout out to TiggerATD! Someone had printed some setlists off your site and couldn´t say enough wonderful things about it!!!

Well thank God we finally got a post from Lucky Lauren......we were concerned about her getting through her first meet and greet with Melissa.

Rumors were running wild first that maybe it was she who was the streaker at the concert....or maybe she was too overcome from the meet and greet that she could not even attend the concert. Bets were even being taken to see how lucky Lucky Lauren got and if she was able to get up on stage and try and pass herself off as MLE....you know with that tank top impersonation. Inquiring minds wanted to know if Lucky Lauren survived her meet and greet and was able to actually talk to MLE when it was her turn. (this is all in good fun

)

I am guessing it all turned at well, as she is again posting, which should mean she survived and can live on to tell us all about her greatest MLE moment ever.

C'mon Lucky Lauren....bring it on !!

*deep breath* The 3 of us (Amy, Eleni & I) we're in the last group to meet her, along with bstrongspeaktru & I believe his name was Frank. Melissa walked in w/ Steven, & as Tammy likes to put it, my inner self threw up. I lost it & started crying, just overwhelmed. But I got my self together pretty quickly, in fact just in time for Mark to walk up to us (he & E had made plans to meet.) He chatted for a few moments (we hung out much more later), then said "Oh, don't forget to go meet her!", talking about MLE LoL. The 5 of us walked up to where she was, she started w/ Angie & Frank. Then it was Amy's turn, she said a few words & got a hug. She took 1 look at E & myself, & threw back her head & laughed (see below to understand why). "We've been planning for 2 years!" I said, she seemed very impressed LoL. I then said what I've always wanted to say to her, (which I would like to keep b/t her & me), & started crying again. But I got it out, & she was so so touched. She then gave me the biggest hug I've ever felt. Not just a little one, but it was deep, long & genuine...that moment was worth all the driving time & $. I just hope you can't tell I had been crying in the picture! E got out what she wanted, got a hug, we took the picture & that was it. It went really fast in some ways, & really slowly in others. I can't wait to do it again!!

OMG your story was so touching. I am sitting here with tears. I know how much everyone loves MLE. To know her and her music is to love her. I am going to my third concert in Dallas in August. I will have FanClub seats for the first time. I so wanted the meet and greet, but, funds are tight. I so want to get just a guitar pick, it would make my life. Thanks for all the reviews, and pics yall. Peace to all, and keep on ROCKIN IT!

Thank you!!! Everyone got the biggest kick out of the shirts, I'm so glad we thought of them. You can't tell, but we also had the same style Converse on, just different colors LoL. So it was same: hat (close), pin on the hat, hairstyle, necklace, bracelet, shirt, jeans, shoes & light toys :mrgreen:

Oops, thank you, changed! My brain is beyond dead, so I'm going to finish all the picture loading tomorrow. Goodnight all, it's nice to be back, but I wish I wasn't LoL!!

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! There will be a much longer review from me by the end of the week. Enjoy the show in Dallas! I wish I could make that one, but the travel package pretty much cleaned us out LoL. I got a pick the 1st time I saw her (in '04), & it's truly 1 of my most treasured items. This time Fritz threw me a stick :mrgreen:

I know, I LOVE it!!! I'm not sure if it broke b/c he was playing w/ the other end, or just broke in his hand. E & I had been making faces at him for most of the show, just rocking out. He looked right at me, pointed at me w/ the stick (as if to say "heads up!") & tossed it to the stage right in front of me, less than an arm's length away. It was a perfect throw LoL!!

Going to my second show tomorrow night...can hardly wait. Your seats will be good, but these other posters have been doing these concerts for years. Do not expect the front row. I will feel lucky tomorrow night to be in the first 12. Susan B
