Hi,
Melissa Etheridge came out to a nearly packed house last night dress in khakis and a t-shirt with sneakers and a blue throw over shirt. "Bring Me Some Water" was one of the first songs of the night and it was followed by "I Want To Come Over", "Yes I Am", "An Unusual Kiss", "Skin Deep", "Not Tonight", "Piece Of My Heart", "Open Your Mind", "Message To Myself", "Threesome", "I'm The Only One", "I Run For Life", "I Need To Wake Up", "Come To My Window", "Imagine That", "If I Wanted To" and many more as well.
Too bad the show wasn't sold out, maybe 100 more seats were available. If it were sold out then the entire section behind me one aisle over was missing some people big time. The 4 piece band along with Melissa on lead vocals and rythym guitar was perfect in musical guise but the sound quality was a bit bassy at times in the beginning. The audience was mostly and largely on their feet including me the entire time singing along.
I would've loved to have recorded the live show for the free music trade market, hardly anything comes out of the Melody Tent that is recorded and publically released. I did take nearly 30 plus photos last night, one of my two cameras were broken though. Sooner or later the photos will be in my MySpace.Com page and lead back to here if they are decent quality.
Great show, great time, save your money for water there though, everything else ($45 t-shirt) was expensive, $6.25 and up for beer and wine. Melissa you Rock deary.
