Wonderful wonderful wonderful show.

We even got "Wild Thing" the Troggs classic, it was a party from the start. Poughkeepsie you know how to rock.

I think my favourite show so far.

So quiet here ... where is everyone?

My dearest Tracy & Kris, I'm leaving it up to you two for a more detailed review of last night.

A few highlights in the meantime:
- MLE looked wonderful and it was another great performance --I just cannot get enough!

- stage rush at the first song --how awesome!

- great audience even though venue was half empty --what happened?

- three broken guitar strings throughout the evening 8-)

- MLE's right shoelace got undone --Angie gladly assisted (double knot?)

- waited out back for band members and Philip & Paul eventually did come out --even though security was tough

Pictures to follow soon! I promise.

One more show for me ... a week seems like a lifetime away and can't wait! :mrgreen:

I'm totally exhausted Linda!!! Here's my report:

Last night was just amazing!! It started with IAM (Marie) and her gf Lucy arriving at my office first, and then Tracy came soon after and we made the drive up to the show. We were having waaaayyy too much fun in the car which made the drive go that much faster, although I know Marie - those last 8 miles took forever - lol

Got to the venue and met up with HugsY2K - she got 3rd row seats and I ended up with front row - couldn’t believe it!! Great way to end my 5th and final show this tour!! We were all hanging around the stage before the show started and met up with OriginalAngie and Dawn - really nice to meet you both! Before we knew it the show started and we were all up and at the stage from the first note. We spent the entire show right at Melissa’s feet.

Of course she was incredible - seemed to be in a very playful mood. Highlights for me were a "weak in the knees" version of My Lover with an awesome, intimate duet with Philip. Have photos of that that I will post later. And a piece of Wild Thing during Kiss Me that was soooo much fun.

She broke 3 strings - which makes 5 shows and 8 broken strings -lol, lost track of the words during I need to wake up - which was ironic, and needed Angie to help her tie her shoelace at one point! IAM had some great sign moments, but I will let her tell you about that - great job though. Some of the flags behind the band now seem to have written messages on them. I was able to read 2 of them. The first one says: There are 2 choices Fear and Love Choose Love and the second - I can’t remember - lol I wrote it down and have it at home will post it later

Tracy got Philips pick at the end of the night which was so awesome and his autograph on a photo of him hugging her - totally made her night. Yay Tracy!!! We did wait around for the guys after the show, but security was tight and only Philip and Paul came out for a few minutes. The buses pulled away and we started walking to our car, but then the buses went around the corner and came back!! We thought maybe they were just trying to lose us so we walked back, but after about 15 minutes decided to call it a night.

Just wanted to thank MEIN and Lora for amazing seats for my shows. And a huge group hug to all my concert buddies (((( Tracy, Linda, Marie, Lea, Grace, Maryanne, Lynn, Joy))))

and everyone else I am forgetting. You all make the shows that much better - I’m already have Melissa withdrawal !

I HAD SUCH A BLAST!!!!! The car ride was definitely too much laughing...LOL. What an awesome time standing AT the stage the entire show! I was in front of the speaker just to the left of Melissa and felt like she was singing directly to me...LOL! Philip is too nice. Oh AND cute. ANd man that boy can play. I could watch him allllllll night. Those girls attacking him when he came out after the show was funny. So glad he signed that picture for me.

Kiss Me/Wild thing was AMAZING! So ad-lib. I got to hear three more songs that I hadn't heard yet: No Souvenirs, My Lover & Kiss Me.

My Lover was sooooo hot! Melissa and Philip...WOW! I saw a couple of the pictures on Kris's camera and all I can say is ::::THUD::::

Marie's signage was definitely well received by Melissa...I too will let her tell it.

Havn't ya heard there is nothing general about Lea....

I think I got some great video and will try and post it soon..(got a new camera recently and this is my time recording...but trick for me will be see how I get in on the computer...and when I have the time to do so...but soon...I think its some real good video).

The show was great as usual....but shame the place was like way less than half full.

Two times Ladybugkirs got "lucky" in the lottery to get first row seats, but both times it meant little as the first time there was a 10 ft moat between the front of the stage and the first row, and last night from the first note the stage was rushed and then everyone in like the first five rows was now at the stage. I had 4th row seats and was up there before the band even came out.

As Melissa and the band members now have most of the banners I had made up...I only had two left....one was held up during Message to Myself...and the other was a way cool banner (well really all the banners were way cool... :lol:

) but this one was the same one she quickly saw as I gave my phone to her in CT (when she made the call to Lea with an A) but last night she really got a good look at it and asked me if she could keep it. BUT OF COURSE....(like is there really any other answer).

When MLE came out to do the encore....I had made a banner (I guess you can call it a banner), I made a replica of the set...(the prayer flags)...it was about 6 feet long and had 6 different colored flags hanging on it...we had a few fans sign the flags in NY, but we did not get to use this banner there....last night right at the stage we had our chance. And of course, the middle banner said ITS ALL MAGICAL...(how could it not) ... :lol:

...We held it up as MLE came back out and she stopped dead in her tracks....she loved it.....we did not motion for her to take it, but she came right over and did take it ...she was really touched...and then she went to the mic and explained her set design. It was fun for all....oops I meant it was magical for all. :lol:

During NOT TONIGHT...I held up a small sign that she really cracked up over and entire band was laughing too....but what was also funny was as I was getting my sign out I showed it to Tracy and asked her what she thought of it....she said it was awesome....then I folded it back up to wait for the right part of the song to hold it up...and Tracy and I both had a good laugh because as I was trying to hide the sign MLE spotted it and she laughed as she knew another one of my signs was coming...LOL. The sign read "WHAT KIND OF CANDY DO YOU KEEP IN THE BOWL?"

It was a really really really long ride home...great show but I would not do that drive again....just not my thing...rather grab a hotel near by, but this show was a last min add on and we had to be back this morning to take 2 of the grandkids for swimming lessons.

It was really fun being at the stage with TRACY, LADYBUGKRIS & HUSBAND (forgot his name), LINDA, ANGIE AND DAWN.....being with real fans who rock just makes the show rock even more.

...and yes LBK...please remind your husband there are speed limits in the state of NY....he nearly gave me and my gf heart attacks...(you have to remember you have senior members in the group.....well I'm not that old...still under 50...but damn I don't drive that fast.

Oh...I almost forgot...TRACY was standing right next to me and several times when PHILIP was doing his thing...like the weirdest thing kept happening...TRACY was going into a trance :surprised:

...I had to nudge her to remind her that she was here to see Melissa.

I have to give extra kudos to MLE...for her to come out and see the venue less than half full and give it her all, and like angie said this may have been even better than her NYC shows (and all the others angie has seen this tour so far...and I think she has seen like 124,232,531 show this tour so far), so she and Dawn would be good judges...she is such the entertainer and performer.

I met u all at Mustang HArrys in NY and I had so so much fun with u all.
I wish I joined u in Poughkeepsie as I don't live to far from there.

The show sounds awesome and I am glad Marie gave her her Prayer Flag
That was very crafty. I left a post up for u all in the ny 7/10 thread.
But in case u don't get 2 it , in the video at mustang harry's am the 1 next to Cat , and on my other side is nybabe (the famous Lea with an A) , and my friend Donna is the 1 next 2 linda.
It was so cool meeting u guys and hope 2 get 2 know u all better on here 4 next x!

r u going 2 any more shows?

I was gonna write something all sappy and just wait to get made fun of...nah...not tonight!

I'm just gonna say, if you haven't listened to Peace Machine, do it, go to iTunes, buy it, and listen to it cover to cover. Philip is really freaking talented, has a great voice, cranks on that guitar, and a lot of other goodness...LOL....I mean like his smile, his heart, his soul...get your minds out of the gutter people.

Ok, so it was still sappy...

But he does hug really well

And I will never forget that moment.

Ya know Fritz is cool too, right Sal? Sal??? Oh, he doesn't read the board...LOL.

And Mark is very personable and kind.

I haven't really had the opportunity to get to know Paul. He was standing right there last night, but he was talking to others. I am sure he is a sweetheart if he is working with Melissa.

I really didn't mean for this to turn into a dicertation on the band members...LOL I just would have felt bad if I left anyone out.

Oh wait...Melissa...LOL. She is just one sexy, hot, smokin' mama who absolutely ROCKS! I have met her 3 times now, and all three times, she was as sweet as anything. I love her. She is so playful and energetic on stage...

Do I get my lesbian status back now? LOL.

the intimate setting last night was awesome,i was yupfront the whole time. why half empty tho? not enuf advertising? anyway, the girls from new paltz mustve appreciated it. i came from albany,for 2nd show this tour. being so close made it a much better show for me. plus i knew "Awakening" alot better for last night. that album rocks. even when she "screams" it sounds awesome,what a voice!! -Joh

I haven't and it has been almost two years since I left CA and my Thursday nights with Philip and his band.

You just don't get over seeing Philip in person and talking and getting hugs from him. You just don't.....It is one of the things I miss most since leaving CA :cry:

You know what I am still on a high after this show, it was absolutely amazing. Lady bug it was great to meet you and the rest of you's Tracy, IAM and Hugs it was great to share the front row with you all lol we had SUCH SUCH FUN.

The banners were great lovely touch. So far this has been my favourite hot sweaty rocking night.

Tracy you are going to Mashantucket great great news see you there.

hey girl, I hope u remember me, I nearly blinded u with my glow stick! I really had fun with u though, especially when we were 2 feet from Phillip! OMG he is so so awesome, And I love when they jam 2gether! And to have Melissa playing right above me,is just so amazing!!!!!

Hey thanks for getting me 2 that stage. I'll never know how u pushed me around that giant security guard, but he sure didn't want to mess with u!

How's White Plains going....I worked there 4 a while in the phone co. And also in the former lake st. Deli....
It was infamous for it's lesbian made sandwiches! did u know it?

wish i did get to join u all in pough. U r all so much fun, and make the concert even that much greater! Like who knew it could get any better! but when u share it it does for sure!

AWWW - how can you forget Sals name?

Good thing he doesn't read the board !! I will remind him to drive slower next time - but in his defense - I think the speed limit is at least 65 up there

Hey Linda, there is an easier way to do that...upload the photos somplace where you can get the actual URL of the photo, copy the URL and then click the Img button above. Paste the URL code in between the Img tags. Then you can embed as many photos in the post as you like.

IAM, I love Melissa...she is the reason for the season...and no other reason can compare. Sweet Pea is nice on the eyes and heaven on the ears. But Melissa is the reason for the season.

Sorry about singing so loud..I had that speaker IN my ears and Marie's camera was literally like, 1.5 feet from my face...LOL Who could hear? I was deaf for about an hour after that.

Hey T.....if there was 18 inches between you and my camera you know someone would have jumped in that spot....

I think it was more like 6 inches.

I had fun doing the video....it was my first time doing that and I think I got some great angles on some great rock and roll.

You can actually pick up you singing....as well as you can hear some of the banter btw Philip and MLE.

I hope you all like MLEs feet too....LOL....it just confirms for us that music runs thru MLEs body from head to toe.
