to tell you the truth, I don't write often on this forum; I'm a great fan of Melissa I discover some years ago (I'm french from Paris); it was my 2nd concert in Montreal last monday, 5th row and in front of the stage; I really ENJOY the show, the best rock concert I've ever seen, she's a rock star !!!! THE rock star !
I'd love to go to all the concerts (!) but nobody around me loves Melissa enough to go with me
I've shot more than 500 photos.... I want to share some of them with you, here is the link on google photo :

Here's my attempt at translating the article... far from perfect, but hoping it will give you a good idea of what was said.

SOME POWERFUL AND VIBRANT ROCK
Melissa Etheridge rocked Place des Arts last night. Generous, the icon of female rock gave her over-excited fans a nearly three hour long comprehensive overview of her career.
8:00 pm last night, lights go out in the Wilfrid-Pelletier concert hall. Immediately, fans are on their feet. Shouts, deafening whistles and a thunder of applause. And the rocker has yet to appear on stage.
When she finally emerges from the shadows, it is madness.
«Bonsoir, Montréal !» the singer shouts, smiling. This is it, you can feel that the ceiling is about to rise. All this taking place during the first few notes of “All There is”.
And then, it’s hit after hit. Melissa Etheridge delivers a comprehensive overview of her impressive carreer. From “I Want to Come Over” to “I'm the Only One”, including the inevitable “Bring Me Some Water” and “California”, none of her hits are forgotten.
From Kansas to Hollywood
In a well tied sequence, each song is conscientiously introduced by the rocker. With the help of her songs, she recreates her journey, her own history, which led her from her native Kansas to Hollywood, driven by her thirst for success.
Impossible to talk about Melissa Etheridge without highlighting her remarkable and contagious energy. A fighter, she recently overcame breast cancer, thus becoming a model for many women.
To satisfy her fans, the rocker gives all of herself, body and soul. And they pay her back well. Standing during the entire concert, they greet each song with shouts of admiration, dancing without restraint on rock and roll rhythms, transforming themselves into an improvised choir during each of the singer’s hits.
Crammed in the Wilfrid-Pelletier Hall, her fans, mostly women, are of all ages. Openly gay, Melissa Etheridge has become a sort of legend in the international gay milieu.
But her language is universal. The kind of rock that Melissa Etheridge delivers is undoubtedly strong, vibrant and involving. In short, it’s as sweet as candy. So good, you find yourself asking for more. Even after three hours.

Most of the time you can see Fritz on the right. He’s breathtaking, so full of energy. I think he had like 2 or 3 seconds of break during the whole show!

merci pour vos compliments, ça me fait plaisir de partager ces photos avec vous, utilisez les comme fonds d'écran evidemment, si vous avez besoin que je vous envoie l'original, "e-mailez" moi
I'm glad to share those pics with you, guys; Use them as you want ! just because you're MLE fans, I know they will be well used !
I've met Philip and Mark, after the show, behind the Place des Arts, at the Opera Entrance; they were so kind and "available" (disponible ...); Melissa got out 30 minutes ago, she said "hi" to everyone, kissed the girl in her chair and step into the bus; she seem so tired, after 3 hours of such a show, we just can understand....
oh la la, my english is bad .... existe-t-il un fan club ici a Montreal ou Quebec, ce serait fun de ne pas attendre 2010 pour partager notre passion de MLE
